Photos (completely undedited) taken of random pieces of furniture I sold this week via facebook. Social networking is a beautiful thing...
Sooo, my life is crazy. I'm on the crazy train and don't think I'm getting off anytime soon.
But y'all deserve an update, right? I am constantly amazed by this social networking thing.
Your comments, your encouragement, your love is just such a blessing to me.
So much has been happening, my head is just about to pop off, but here's a synopsis...
as well as I can synop things.....
Our house....is officially UNDER CONTRACT!! This is such a blessing, but honestly I haven't barely stopped to realize this. Monday is our home inspection and then there's the appraisal. There's some shakey details going on, on the buyer's end...but we're staying positive. If you could at all remember to pray that the home inspection and appraisal goes well, I would be forever greatful. My banker knows all too well that these two things can set back a closing.
Our new house...we decided a few weeks ago to find a town home or home to rent. Having NO idea about the area, we feel more comfortable to rent till next summer. We have not found a place yet, but are looking online. There seems to be lots to choose from.
I'm not crazy about moving twice, but I really had to let go of the control god and just let this happen. We don't have to completely unpack everything and I know things will work out.
Moving date....this little detail took a turn for the crazy just this morning. I was thinking we'd have about a month...maybe 5 weeks. But (this is completely unofficial and may change again in the next 10 minutes, as I am learning everything does around here), it looks like we'll be on the road in 2 weeks! I am so not prepared at all...haven't even bought boxes yet. So...ya. Crazy-flippin'-train!
Sooo, pray for me, y'all. (ya, I've started adapting to the language of my new digs)
Obviously, my blogging will be sparadic in the near future. I love doing little updates on facebook. I can just type little blips here and there from my phone, such a wonderful invention...So, if you don't "like" me over there, please do. I am really needing the love right now.
xo,

I'm gonna send you some calmness from across the pond :)
When we made a fast move from MA to TX we decided renting was best, too. We had a long weekend to house hunt and no way would I want to have had to settle on a house to buy in that short of a time.
I actually dropped by (not knowing you had a new post) to let you know there is a story in the latest issue of Southern Living (if you live in the south you need this mag.) on the Best of Asheville, NC!!!! Go buy it! I'm excited for you.

Good luck, Alicia! If anyone can make lemonade out of lemons, it's you!!
it's all good girlie. i'm off to house hunt for you...wish me luck;)
Whenever life gets stressful, I'm always amazed at how things start happening and falling into place. It sounds like everything is smooth sailing right now; I hope that you can continue to have such fortune as you move.
You'll be given a great gift when you move; you'll get to see the gorgeous fall colors.
Question: Will you be staying in the mountains for Thanksgiving?
already said a prayer, and welcome to the south! i'm from arkansas :)
I think your decision to rent is so smart. Take your time finding your next house, that's what I say! Looking forward to seeing what life brings!
Wow! Awesome that you have a contract already and I hope everything goes so smoothly with the move. Kind of wishing I lived next door so I could now own that amazing piece in the first photo. :) Hang in there with all the chaos!
I think you are wise to rent until you get your bearings, especially in this real estate market. SPeaking of which: congratulations on the contract on your house!!! Yay!!! What an answer to prayer. God must really want y'all to move...
I will continue to pray for you and your sweet family!
(((hugs))),

Oh honey, you are so busy!!! I'd be crazy, too. Praying that all those details on your house sale come together. God will give you the strength and grace to get through it all; I'm certain of it.
Don't buy moving boxes, they are always free on Craigslist!
I hated the idea of moving twice also, but we didn't know the area either. We rented an apartment for a year and got to know the town really well. I drove through neighborhood after neighborhood and all the outlying towns. I am so glad that I did. now I love where we are and the house too.
Sending huge positive {{{{vibes}}}} your way.
Praying for you.
I've only been to
your new city once,
when I was preggers
with #1....I really
loved it! And as a
veteran of TONS of
moves, I can say with
confidence that you
WILL bloom where you
are planted!
Love & Hugs,
xx Suzanne
